Biographical Info: Konrad Noronha is a Jesuit priest and a medical doctor. Hehas a doctorate in counsellor education and supervision from Loyola University Maryland and an MS in community counselling from Loyola University Maryland. He is a licensed clinical professional counsellor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland, USA. He qualified as a homoeopathic medical doctor in 1989, and has been practicing since then. His approach to patients, clients and directees is holistic, and he uses integrated approaches in his treatment, therapy, and spiritual direction. His doctorate in counsellor education and supervision enhances his abilities to deal with a wide variety of clients. He has worked at a number of places in America, including Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Centre, Baltimore, where he worked with persistent mental illness, and adolescents with mental health problems; the FouseCentre, Maryland, where he worked with dual diagnosis and homeless clients; the counselling centreat Stella Maris, Maryland, where he worked with the bereaved of those who died in hospice and the counselling centre at Loyola University Maryland where he worked with a predominantly university population.
Konrad is on the faculty of Jnana Deepa Vidyapaeeth, Pune, India. He presently teaches in the masters in pastoral management,masters in spirituality and theology programs. He is the coordinator of the pastoral management program. He also conducts retreats and offers counselling and spiritual direction services at the Vidyapeeth and community. His research interests include the interaction of psychology, religion, and spirituality, older adulthood, studies on clergy and religious and Indian psychologies
